Read the unit and token direction
Examenos expresses token rates in USD per one million tokens. Input and output are separate prices. Cached input and cache-write prices appear when recorded. An absent rate is not free: it remains unavailable.
Contributor and default tiers
When OpenRouter publishes a contribute/contributor sibling, Examenos prefers that tier in the main table and marks it with a contributor indicator. The model profile retains the default tier too, with source links and recorded dates. A contributor rate is never invented for a model with no published sibling.
Snapshots and live rates
Public pages contain dated cached prices so their information is available immediately. The interactive dashboard can then request live OpenRouter data. Prices can move after a snapshot; check its date and follow the source before budgeting.
The endpoint policy keeps healthy providers and selects the minimum available rate separately for each metric. The input-cheapest and output-cheapest provider can differ. These displayed minima should not be mistaken for a guaranteed combined bill from one provider; inspect provider details in the dashboard.
Price is not total task cost
Your input/output volume, caching, reasoning usage and routing setup determine the bill. An evaluator's cost-per-task measurement is a different metric from a token price and stays in its evaluator section.
Browse model profiles for snapshots and the dashboard for live enhancements. OpenRouter's model pages provide the underlying pricing sources. Our methodology explains the recorded-data policy.
